     AWESOME DAY IN COURT YESTERDAY! GOT A LIFETIME RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST ABUSIVE EX-HUSBAND, which is very rare.  Dear Lord, Thank You so much for today. I give You all the glory & thank you Father for the Angels at DVISR that You have sent to help me. Lord please continue to bless the work of the volunteers at DVISR & guide them with Your spirit to continue to help other desperate families & help us all Lord to do Your goodwill. Again, I thank You Lord. Amen.

     So many people give up without people like you because once the law can't help them they don't know about all the other resources that are available to them. Had you not been at the Sheriff's station that day, none of the would be happening, Jimmy would have won and left destiny pretty much homeless. I had prayed for help and you appeared... What a gift from God. Thank you, thank you, thank you !

My ex-husband abused my two daughters and me for years. He did not allow me to talk to any family or friends, only his mother. He and his mother told me I'm stupid and cannot live without them. One time he beat me so badly he almost killed me. The neighbor saw my bruises when I took the trash out to the curb. She called for help. The police rescued me, but I had no idea how my kids and I would survive away from my husband. Then I met a volunteer from DVISR. DVISR found us safe housing, food, and clothes so I could get a Medical Assistant certificate thought Worksource. Now i have a great job and a cute place for my daughters and me. I never believed I could support myself, but DViSR showed me I could.
